Our Training Centre aims to foster opportunities for Higher Degree Research candidates and early career researchers to participate in national collaborations and build a network within industry and academia.

To achieve this we have partnered with the ARC CMIT (Training Centre for Medical Implant Technologies) and the ARC TCIBE (Training Centre for Innovative BioEngineering).

Throughout May we had the pleasure of hosting three key visitors from our partner ITTCs:

      • Prof Peter Lee, Director CMIT, University of Melbourne
      • Prof Hala Zreiqat AM, Director TCIBE, University of Sydney
      • Prof Mark Taylor, Program Lead CMIT,  Flinders University

Each of our visiting Professors presented their Centre's work to our team and the broader QUT Medical Engineering Research community. Many brainstorms were held to discuss collaborative initiatives targeting training for early career researchers, better engagement with industry partners as well as how to engage the future of STEM through school outreach.

Watch this space as we bring some of these ideas to life!
